Why Author David Anthony Schroeder Advocates Cannabidiol (CBD) After Finding Chronic Pain Relief
The United States is currently struggling with an ongoing drug crisis, which can be traced back to overprescribing, dependency on painkillers, and chronic pain. The latter is often linked to anxiety, depression, limited mobility, reduced quality of life, and sometimes even death.
However, cannabis has in recent years been discovered to be therapeutic. It has been found that cannabis, hemp, and cannabidiol (CBD) can be effective non-addictive pain management tools. Author David Anthony Schroeder has strongly advocated this.
David was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. While many children are energetic, David was exceptionally energetic to the point that it was scary. His doctors prescribed Ritalin for his hyperactivity, leaving him to be a lifeless couch potato.
By seven years old, he would suffer an injury that would continue to plague him for the entirety of his life. David had been riding downhill on his Schwinn Stingray Banana seat bike with the high handlebars and a stick shift between his legs. He hit a rock and crashed. This should have been a warning to David, but despite being on Ritalin, he still needed an outlet.
As he grew, he discovered different activities — most of which were high-octane outlets — such as BMX and skateboarding. He would later get into martial arts, mountain biking, roller/street blading. No matter what he got into, David always found ways to injure himself.
For nearly 50 years, David struggled with chronic pain. He found relief from his pain when he was given a CBD pain stick. On a whim, he tried it thinking it would be nothing more than a Bengay rub-on and was unexpectedly surprised at how well and fast it worked. David would go on to spend the next three years sorting out all the various aspects of CBD, wading through lots of misinformation and trying out many bad CBD products.
Out of that, he wrote the book titled ‘7 Ways to Manage Pain with CBD’ and became one of the nation’s foremost advocates for using CBD for therapeutic pain management. David wrote the book to help others who were misinformed about the benefits of CBD. He used all of his research to create a guide for understanding the basics and use of CBD.
David covered several topics, such as defining what CBD is and how to ensure quality and accuracy. He also included the risks, side effects, its legality, and a dosage guide. He is hopeful that his book can educate people so they can take more control over their pain management.
“I hope, by reading 7 Ways to Manage Pain with CBD, that people can take control of their bodies and lives. Treating chronic pain doesn’t need to come with the possibly dire consequences of narcotics and debilitating side effects. When adequately managed, cannabidiol can easily mitigate chronic pain — even high impact pain”

Author & CBD Advocate
7 Ways to Manage Pain with CBD is the only book of its kind, going in-depth for people who know little to nothing about using CBD. It helps readers understand how they can find high-quality CBD, read product labels, read and understand product test results, and use CBD for pain effectively. The book provides enough material to understand CBD properly and gives them a comprehensive checklist on how they can purchase quality CBD for their pain relief efforts.
Another reason that David wrote his book is to guide people to get the bigger picture. While the internet may be an accessible source for information, it also tends to be misinforming. It also helps them jump ahead of all the snake oil salesmen.
David plans on releasing two more books soon, covering advanced topics for using CBD and a recipe book that people can use to make their own CBD food.
