Breaking into the entertainment industry is never an easy feat, but some people manage to get by working their absolute hardest. Rae Serbeck is a recognizable name in the modeling community whose vigor has helped him cement his career.

Rae Serbeck’s career started in December 2017 when he tried out for a Runway Male Modeling position for a Utah Fashion Show run by LA Talent. A month after the tryouts, Rae and his best friend were picked to be two of the male models to walk the runway, despite his lack of experience. The event would mark his start into a modeling career.

Eight months after the show, Rae continued working for different runway organizations. He decided to pivot into modeling for a small agency called United Fashion Talent. The agency mainly focused on the art perspective, and it didn’t take long for Rae to realize that the career wouldn’t be able to support him financially. He would later leave to dive into freelance modeling after a year and a half. The move proved to be an important one as Rae would find his niche and succeed more than expected.

At the start of the second year of his modeling career, Rae started getting jobs that paid him in full. His luck started to turn around, and he found jobs for a few pieces of clothing here and there. Rae began building up his contacts, and the companies he worked with would spread the good word about his work ethic and put him up for recommendations. Rae Serbeck started working with a few companies, casual clothing, fitness wear, shoe brands, sunglass companies, and even men’s jewelry stores. Things continued consistently, and Rae eventually got his first-ever magazine publication.

In December 2019, Rae Serbeck was asked by the owner of Inspired Magazine, a local Utah magazine, if they could publish him in their January issue. In late January, Rae would get his first modeling/acting job as he featured for Robbi Tripp’s Luka Doncic music video. More opportunities came his way, and two months later, he was published twice in the National Magazine Rising Model Magazine, later getting his first-ever Cover Model issue with the local Utah magazine, Inspired.

Rae’s biggest opportunity came when Mitch Royal, owner of the magazine Elixir by Royel, asked if they could publish him in their International Magazine, not just as a model but also as a writer. He was asked to write a ten-page article human interest piece on bullying, which was very well received. It was then that he realized he had the chance to have a real career in the world. Since then, he hasn’t looked back, having been published in twenty magazines this year.

Initially, Rae’s goal was to get published once every month this year, but he managed to surpass his goal four months ago. So far, he has been published thrice locally, six times nationally, and eleven internationally.

Rae Serbeck is proud to have gone beyond the impossible goals he set. He targets more breakthroughs in the acting world and hopes to continue human interest writing in the years to come.
