Jimmy Mor and the Hopeful Growth of Urban Gospel

Urban contemporary gospel music has been a vibrant pillar in the Christian community since the beginning of its creation. Artists like J Moss, Kierra Sheard, and Tye Tribbett have often paved the way for new artists to grow their sound by being unique and authentic. New artist Jimmy Mor wants to continue that legacy by pushing the boundaries of urban gospel music and sharing what the world of talented gospel artists has to offer.

Writing music with the intent to uplift, encourage, and heal, Jimmy Mor has released projects back as far as 2012 ranging from hip-hop and R&B to contemporary urban gospel. Millennials looking for young, fresh gospel should be excited about his new projects as he helps the genre to grow.

“With so much of a need for hope right now, music can be used as a centerpiece of encouragement and motivation when you need it,” Jimmy explains.

The Philadelphia native has been focused on using music to minister the gospel in ways that directly speak to his generation. With the radio success of the Christian hip-hop song “Amazing” featuring V. Rose, Jimmy set out to push the boundaries even more with his new singles “Be Somebody” and “Change Me.” Now he’s looking to bring the message of hope and encouragement to a speaker near you.
